World Book Day Thursday 2 March 2017

We will be celebrating World Book Day in school on Thursday 2 March 2017. Your child may come to school dressed as a character from their favourite book. If your child does not wish to take part in this, your child must come to school dressed in school uniform as normal. There will be lots going on in school that day for all the children to enjoy.

We are asking for £1 donation, per child, towards the charity "Book Aid International".

This charity helps support libraries in Africa by sending one million brand new book each year. It also helps to develop and expand the libraries together with training and support to equip their Librarians with new skills.

We look forward to seeing the children dressed up on the day.

As part of "World Book Day" on Thursday 2 March 2017, we are organising a book swap in school. Children are invited to bring in a book of good quality that they no longer want and in turn they can choose another book to take home. We ask that children bring in their books on the morning of 2 March 2017 and give it to their class teacher.

During the day, all the children will be walking to Jaffe and Neale's to choose their own book. We are really looking forward to seeing all the children dressed up and a day of book fun!
