This term we will be learning about various Roald Dahl texts including The BFG and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
In our History lessons, we will be learning about the Stone Age.

We have been really impressed with the Plant projects that were handed in on Friday. The ongoing effort with your home learning is fantastic and I know that those of you with home learning packs, will also be trying hard at home.

Term 6
We are really impressed with your continued effort with your Home Learning. This term, we will be looking at Teeth and Digestion in our Topic learning and you will have already started some projects about this at home.

The children that have been in school this week have created posters and animals masks whilst learning about teeth (see the pictures below).
8.6.2020
The children at school have been creating board games linked to teeth and beginning to learn about the rest of the digestive system. We can't wait to see what you have got up to at home when you send in your completed projects on Friday!
This week, we should have been going on our Year 4 Residential to Hill End. Instead, many of you have been taking part in our Hill End daily challenges and have been enjoying listening to members of staff talk about their best bits of Hill End.
Take a look at the pictures below of you achieving these challenges. Keep up the good work and I will be adding some more pictures throughout the week.
Term 4 and 5
Romans
Term 4 began with us learning about Roman Gods, Roman Roads and the Roman empire. Due to schools being closed you have been continuing your Roman learning online and we will be continuing with this until the May half term.
We have enjoyed seeing your home learning and all of the extra adventures that you are getting up too. Please keep sending us pictures on dojo and we can upload them to this website.

Term 2 - Christmas
This term, Year 3/4 will be focusing on Christmas as our Topic. We have already been busy learning songs and lines for our play Stable Manners. Please look out for letters relating to Parents evening and Christmas Events and also check Parentmail or the school website for upcoming dates and newsletters.
The children have made a fantastic start to the new academic year and have been very excited about our new Around the world topic. The children have been learning about Music from around the world; how to stay safe on the World Wide Web and locating and learning about European Countries.
Term 6 - Ancient Egyptians and Rainforests
What a busy start to the term! The Year 4's are all safely back from their Hill End Residential. A very soggy trip but lots of fun was had by all of the children and the adults! We will post some pictures in the coming days.
The end of the year will see transition days, Sports days and watching the Year 6 leavers play. We will continue to update Class Dojo but any pictures will be posted on this website. Reports will also go out at the end of the term.
We look forward to a busy term. Remember, if you need to, chat to us in the morning or after school at our classroom doors or pass on messages through Class Dojo. Please remember we cannot take absence messages through Dojo, you must contact the office.
Term 5 - Ancient Egyptians
Welcome back to the new term. We are going to be learn about the Ancient Egyptians in our Topic lessons this term. We are looking forward to taking the children on a trip to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford to take part in a hands on workshop. Please see our Topic web for more information about what Curriculum coverage in other subject this term.

Term 4 - February 2019
Local History - Chipping Norton
This term we will be continuing to learn about Chipping Norton. We are going to be focusing on the changes of the High Street and the history of St. Mary's School. The children will be learning how to use the iPads and tablets to create an informative video about their chosen History topic. We hope to invite parents in to see the videos at the end of the term.
Term 3 - January 2019
Local History - Chipping Norton
This term we have started our journey of learning about Chipping Norton. We have visited Chipping Norton Museum and already learnt lots of information about the history of our town. You can see some pictures below of our trip to the Musuem.
Library Visit
All of the Year 3/4 children got the opportunity to visit Chipping Norton Library in Term 3. The children learnt about the facilities available in our Library and took park in activities with the Librarian.
